Modi's Promise Fulfilled: Bhutan Premier Expresses Gratitude to 'Brother' PM Modi

Prime Minister Modi's two-day state visit to Bhutan from March 22-23 had to be rescheduled by a day due to unfavorable weather conditions at the Paro Airport.

The Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay, expressed his appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to visiting Bhutan despite a demanding schedule and adverse weather conditions, dubbing it as "Modi Ki Guarantee".

In a heartfelt message shared on social media along with a photograph of the two leaders, PM Tobgay thanked PM Modi for keeping his promise to visit despite challenges. He emphasized the significance of the "Modi Ki Guarantee" phenomenon, symbolizing PM Modi's dedication to the welfare of the common people and his government's pledge to serve every citizen.
 

As a mark of respect and warmth, both King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk and PM Tobgay personally bid farewell to PM Modi at the airport as he concluded his official visit, during which he was honored with Bhutan's highest civilian award.

Grateful for the heartfelt farewell, PM Modi expressed his gratitude towards the people of Bhutan for their hospitality, reaffirming India's unwavering commitment as a friend and partner to Bhutan.

Reflecting on the significance of his visit, PM Modi underscored the strengthening of the India-Bhutan friendship through meaningful discussions with His Majesty the King, PM Tshering Tobgay, and other dignitaries. He also expressed his appreciation for being bestowed with the Order of the Druk Gyalpo.

Before departing for New Delhi, PM Modi inaugurated the Gyaltsuen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck Mother and Child Hospital in Thimphu, which was constructed with Indian assistance. He hailed the hospital as a symbol of hope for numerous families, emphasizing its state-of-the-art facilities.
