A replica resembling the Konark Wheel, an iconic symbol from Odisha's historic Sun Temple in Puri, set the stage for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's warm welcome to the G20 leaders upon their arrival at the summit's distinguished venue, Bharat Mandapam, in Delhi on Saturday.
The Konark Wheel, originating from the 13th century during the reign of King Narasimhadeva-I, boasts 24 spokes and has even been ingeniously incorporated into the Tricolour. It serves as a profound embodiment of India's time-honored wisdom, advanced civilization, and architectural mastery.
With its mesmerizing rotating motion, the Konark Wheel not only signifies the passage of time, referred to as 'Kaalchakra,' but also stands as a representation of progress and the constant evolution of society.
This revered symbol is a poignant reflection of the democratic wheel, underscoring the unwavering resilience of democratic values and a deep commitment to societal progress.
Prime Minister Modi made his way to Bharat Mandapam early this morning, leading up to the highly anticipated two-day gathering of the world's most prominent leaders. Accompanying him were distinguished individuals such as External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, among others.
