India Prepared to Provide Nepal with Any Assistance, Says PM Modi

In response to the tragic loss of lives caused by the massive earthquake that struck Nepal on Friday night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences on Saturday. He affirmed that India stands in solidarity with the people of Nepal and is prepared to offer all possible assistance during this difficult time.

Tragedy struck western Nepal as a 5.6-magnitude earthquake, which struck around midnight on Friday, resulted in the loss of at least 69 lives and left numerous individuals injured. The earthquake's epicenter was reported in the western Jajarkot district at approximately 2:02 a.m. local time on Saturday, with a depth of 18 km, according to information from the US Geological Survey.

Regrettably, the quake claimed the lives of at least 35 people in the Rukum district and 34 more in the neighboring Jajarkot district, as confirmed by officials.
