India logs marginal dip in Covid cases

India on Thursday witnessed a marginal decline in Covid-19 cases with 2,827 fresh infections registered in the past 24 hours, against previous day's 2,897, as per the Union Health Ministry's data.

Meanwhile, the Daily Positivity rate has also reported a slight decline at 0.60 per cent, while the Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 0.72 per cent.

Also in the same period, a total of 4,71,276 tests were conducted, increasing the overall to 84.24 crore.

As of Thursday morning, the country's Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 190.83 crore, achieved via 2,38,04,573 sessions.

Over 3.10 crore adolescents have been administered with a first dose of Covid-19 jab since the beginning of vaccination drive for this age bracket.
