Haryana Government Declares Dry Day on January 22 for Ram Temple 'Pran Pratishtha' Ceremony

Responding to the Prime Minister's call for cleanliness at religious places, Khattar mentioned that 'poojas' and cleanliness activities are underway at religious sites in the state from January 14 to January 22.

In anticipation of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, the Haryana government, led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, has declared a 'dry day.' In an official statement, Khattar announced the closure of all liquor establishments in the state on that day. The ceremony, to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries, has prompted several BJP-ruled states, including Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, to declare a dry day as well.

Responding to the Prime Minister's call for cleanliness at religious places, Khattar mentioned that 'poojas' and cleanliness activities are underway at religious sites in the state from January 14 to January 22. He urged citizens to light diyas at home on January 22 and informed that the 'pran pratishtha samaroh' would be broadcast live in educational institutes and other locations.

Khattar stressed that the inauguration of the 'Ram Mandir' in Ayodhya is not a political event but holds deep sentimental significance for the people. Taking a swipe at those who declined invitations to attend the ceremony, he expressed confidence that the people of the country would provide a fitting response to them.
