Ayodhya Prepares for 70-Day Extravaganza of Celebrations

Over the 70-day period leading up to Holi, artists from 15 different countries and thousands of folk artists from various parts of the country have been invited to partake in the celebrations. The city of Ayodhya is adorned with about 100 elevated platforms where cultural shows are scheduled on January 22.

The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has meticulously planned extensive celebrations to welcome Ram Lalla to his original seat after a struggle spanning 500 years. The grand festivities are already underway in Ayodhya, featuring the participation of nearly 5,000 performers and artists in various cultural events and rituals, continuing until March 24, coinciding with the celebration of Holi.

Several prominent locations in Ayodhya, including Bharatkund, Suryakund, Guptar Ghat, Deokali, Saket petrol pump, Ayodhya Dham railway station, and the airport, will witness captivating performances.

On the evening of January 22, the cultural department has organized a series of events featuring Padma Shri awardee Malini Awasthi and Bhojpuri star and Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan at Tulsi Udyan. Additionally, the Sharma brothers from Ujjain and Kanhaiya Mittal from Chandigarh will enthrall the audience at Ram Ki Paidi. These cultural events are scheduled to take place between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on January 22, as confirmed by officials.
