Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the incredible, phenomenal success of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' and 'Pura Desh Tiranga' this time in assisting the celebrations of Independence Day this year.
Sharing his happiness, PM Modi said, "My dear countrymen, the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' and 'Pura Desh Tiranga' campaigns were highly successful this time. Amazing pictures of the campaign have emerged from different corners of the country.
The Prime Minister did well to draw attention to the sort of participation there was, "We saw Tiranga displayed at homes, schools, colleges, and Universities People displayed Tiranga at their shops and offices. Tiranga was also seen on their desktop, mobile and cars. When people come together to express emotions, campaigns like these become very successful
One of the most striking visuals, as mentioned by PM Modi, was from Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi, where the world's tallest Chenab Railway Bridge saw a 750-metre-long flag taken on it in a Tiranga rally.
"Whoever saw these pictures was overjoyed," he added, also mentioning a mesmerizing Tiranga Yatra on Srinagar's Dal Lake and a 600-foot-long Tiranga procession in Arunachal Pradesh's East Kameng district.
The Prime Minister also observed a cultural shift, noting that Independence Day is slowly but surely becoming a social festival.
"Yahan log ghar ghar tricolour se saja rahe hain. Lakhs patang tayyar hone mein madad lekar saman ghar par banati hain (People here are decorating their houses with tricolour. Through people associated with Women empowerment Self-Help Groups (SHG), lakhs.
As he spoke about the oneness that was being created following the campaign, PM Modi shared that over five crore selfies had been uploaded on the website for Har Ghar Tiranga, representing the unity and shared pride of the country.
"This campaign has brought the entire country together – this is 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,'" he declared.
In fact, in his last episode of 'Mann Ki Baat' on July 28, the Prime Minister had called upon one and all to join the 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan,' stressing the insistent fervour the campaign has aroused across the length and breadth of the country.
He had continued to appeal to citizens to wave the Tricolour with pride and share their selfies at harghartiranga.com, celebrating the accord and pride of the nation.
