A massive fire broke out at a Pune based plant of Serum Institute of India (SII) on Thursday. A big cloud of smoke was seen coming out of the Terminal 1 gate of the vaccine production facility.
Eight fire tenders are reportedly on the spot.
However, Covishield’s stock is safe as the fire broke out at an under-construction building, as reported by India Today sources. The Serum Institute has been producing Oxford University and AstraZeneca developed Covid vaccine.
