Ex-Agniveers Granted 10% Reservation in Central Armed Police Forces

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced a 10% reservation for ex-Agniveers in constable positions within the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). This decision, made on Thursday, includes organizations such as the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Border Security Force (BSF), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

CISF Director General Nina Singh confirmed that the organization has made arrangements to recruit ex-Agniveers, reserving 10% of constable roles for them. Ex-Agniveers will benefit from a relaxed Physical Efficiency Test and age concessions—five years for the first group and three years for subsequent groups. Singh emphasized CISF's commitment to maximizing the advantages for ex-Agniveers, aiming to enhance operational efficiency with their disciplined service.

BSF's Director General Nitin Agrawal also announced similar measures, noting that ex-Agniveers have devoted four years to service, showcasing their training and discipline. After receiving brief training, they will be deployed along the borders. He stated, "We are looking forward to recruiting them, offering a 10% reservation along with age relaxations: five years for the first batch and three years for others."

SSB DG Daljit Singh Chaudhary confirmed a fixed quota for ex-Agniveers, stating that recruitment rules have been adjusted to provide a five-year age relaxation for the first batch, with no Physical Efficiency Test required. RPF DGP Manoj Yadava stated that there will also be a 10% reservation for ex-Agniveers, with similar age relaxations and exemptions from the Physical Efficiency Test. He welcomed ex-Agniveers as valuable additions to the force.

CRPF DG Anish Dayal Singh announced that all preparations for recruiting ex-Agniveers have been finalized, with a 10% reservation and age relaxations similar to those in other forces. He expressed confidence that ex-Agniveers would bring dedication and discipline from the outset, highlighting the positive impact of their military training.
