The adverse weather conditions wreaked havoc on the city's train schedule, causing delays of up to six hours for around 20 Delhi-bound trains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) official noted the challenge of distinguishing between low clouds and fog in satellite imagery.

At 9:05 am, the relative humidity level soared to 91 percent. Meanwhile, the Air Quality Index (AQI) for the city remained in the "very poor" category, registering a reading of 373 at 9 am. This follows the trend from the previous day when the overall AQI stood at 371 by 4 pm.

It's worth noting that an AQI reading between zero and 50 is classified as "good," 51 to 100 as "satisfactory," 101 to 200 as "moderate," 201 to 300 as "poor," 301 to 400 as "very poor," and 401 to 500 as "severe."
