Russian Ambassador to India Nikolay Kudashev on Monday said that India and Russia have “common concerns,” with the risk of terrorism flowing into Russia and Kashmir from Afghanistan.
Speaking to media persons on the sideline of an event at the Russian embassy, Kudashev admitted that the danger of terror being spread from Afghanistan is imminent.
Kudashev said that both New Delhi and Moscow have been in regular touch and that there is ample space for cooperation between the nations.

Russia and China had abstained from voting on a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting, saying that it didn't name a terror groups like ISIS and ETIM.
"As far as the phenomena of terror are concerned, we do share our concerns with India. There is a danger of terror being spread to the Russian territory and the territory of Kashmir. This is a matter of common concern," Kudashev said.
Commenting on the Afghanistan situation, Kudashev said that an inclusive government should be in place in the war-ravaged country. He further said that Afghan soil should not be a source of terrorism for other countries.

"Both India and Russia are concerned about the situation in Afghanistan. We want an inclusive government. We want that the Afghan soil should not be a source of terror for other countries in the region," Kudashev said, adding that recognition for the government was not an immediate area of focus.
When asked about Pakistan’s role in breeding terrorism on Afghan soil, Kudashev said that Russia expects Islamabad to see predictability and a secure environment in Afghanistan.
Kudashev also said that Russia and India have actively participated in tacking the threat of terrorism under the bilateral framework of the counter-terrorism framework. He said that the Afghan people deserve peace, stability, and sustainable development.
"We are for an inclusive government in Afghanistan that can ensure sustainable development in the war-torn country. The Afghan people deserve peace, stability, and sustainable development just as any other nation in the world," Kudashev added.
