Two terrorists and their associate were shot dead in an encounter with the security forces on Tuesday at Hyderpora in Central Kashmir's Srinagar district, according to officials.

The terrorists were encountered after the joint team of the army and police had sealed the area and launched a search operation based on a lead that informed about the presence of terrorists.

The security forces zeroed in on the spot where the terrorists were hiding and they came under a heavy volume of fire that triggered the encounter.
