A video of actress Bhumika Chawla resurfaced in which she is heard speaking about her experience with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan while working for the film 'Tere Naam'. Chawla shared how her career graph sailed into Hindi cinema. She was last seen in the Hindi movie 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan'.
In an archival video shared by Lehren, Chawla talks about her earlier work in Tamil and Telugu films prior to making her debut in Bollywood. "Before 'Tere Naam', I had already done a few south projects in Tamil and Telugu. I have worked with producer Mr. Sunil Manchanda long back in ad films," she says. Satish ji saw my film 'Khushi' and my performance, after which they contacted me and asked if you would like to work in 'Tere Naam'. I said 'of course', and it all just happened organically. The rest, you know, is history.
'Tere Naam' is a remake of the Tamil film 'Sethu', which is based on a real-life incident of a man who falls in love, loses his sanity, and ends up in a mental asylum. Salman Khan as Radhe Bhaiyya in the movie has been counted as one of his finest performances.
Chawla also spoke about her relationship with Salman Khan, with whom she worked again in his home production, 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan'. "Salman sir is literally such an amazing actor and person with so much experience …, he literally took me in as a little girl and he would always guide me how I can make my performance better …". He gave me a few pointers on the business and how it works. He's this huge star, but he's so giving, and yes, of course, working with was just, says she in the video.
