'Got a problem?' Amitabh Bachchan Speaks Out”

On Sunday, Bachchan took to his blog to elaborate on why he remains active in his career despite having achieved so much. He admitted that he doesn’t have a straightforward answer but views work with the same excitement he had in his younger years.

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, who recently portrayed Ashwatthama in Nag Ashwin’s film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, has addressed the question many have raised about why he continues to work at 81.

On Sunday, Bachchan took to his blog to elaborate on why he remains active in his career despite having achieved so much. He admitted that he doesn’t have a straightforward answer but views work with the same excitement he had in his younger years.

He explained, “People often ask me why I continue to work, and I don't have a definitive answer. For me, it’s simply another opportunity to engage in my craft. What other explanation could there be? Everyone has their own views and interpretations of circumstances, and while they might use their own perspectives to judge, only I truly understand my reasons. You’re free to draw your own conclusions, and so am I with my work.”

He further commented, “Work was offered to me, and until it's offered to you, you might not grasp the answer. My reasons may not align with your views, but the ability to express oneself is a privilege. Your opinions are heard, as are mine, and my reasons are personal and secure.”

Bachchan also remarked, “The ‘impotency of content’ might prompt you to create your own fantasies and find joy in that creation. Just remember, sandcastles made in time will eventually crumble. If you build them for yourself and your business, they’re yours to enjoy. My own creation stands firm—I work, and that’s the end of it. If you have an issue with that, perhaps you should dive into your own work and discover its worth.”

Currently, Bachchan is engaged with his popular television game show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16,’ which airs on Sony Entertainment Television.
