For the first time, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan shared his grief on the latest episode of Bigg Boss 18, that perhaps anybody went through after the murder of his close friend and NCP leader Baba Siddique. He admitted that he was at a very difficult stage in his life while also handling the ongoing quarrels between contestants.
Siddique, a former minister from Maharashtra, known for his celebrity-studded iftar parties and Bollywood t nexus, was shot down outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Mumbai on 12th October. Police believe that Lawrence Bishnoi may have planned the murder as Siddique was close to Khan.
During Saturday's Weekend Ka Vaar episode, which Khan hosts, he had confided his emotional status, saying, "Yaar, qasam khuda ki what all I am going through in my life and I have to come and handle this (arguments between housemates). I feel that I shouldn't have come here today. But you have to do what you have to do." Khan added, "Mere par bhi bahut saare laanchan lagaye gaye hain (I have been accused of many things). I know what my parents go through, hinting at the personal struggles he's going through.
Whether this is shot before or after the tragic death of Siddique is still not very clear.
Though Khan didn't make any posts on Twitter condoling his colleague's death, he visited the slain politician's Bandra residence on Sunday hours before Siddique's burial service.
Meanwhile, a threatening message was received by the Mumbai traffic police demanding Rs 5 crore from Salman Khan. This has invited an investigation by the Crime Branch. The threat message was sent to the city's traffic control room through WhatsApp on Thursday afternoon, triggering a case to be lodged at the Worli police station under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for extortion and threats.
Khan had received death threats before even from the Bishnoi gang that had also brought up an incident in April when they opened fire outside the actor's Bandra home.
