'Dune: Prophecy' Trailer Released, Series to Premiere on JioCinema on November 18

The movie features the ensemble cast that includes Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Camilla Beeput, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yerin Ha.

The films are 10,000 years before the events of Frank Herbert's seminal novel "Dune," which was recently adapted by Villeneuve in two parts. In the two films released in 2021 and 2023, Charlotte Rampling appeared as Reverend Mother Mohiam, the Emperor's Bene Gesserit Truthsayer, while the Bene Gesserit mother of the protagonist Paul was played by Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica.

The official logline says that the show is about two Harkonnen sisters whose battle against the forces that threaten human kind leads them to establish the legendary order to become the Bene Gesserit.

"Dune: Prophecy" is a show adapted from Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson's novel "Sisterhood of Dune." It was previously called "Dune: The Sisterhood.".

In the miniseries, Tabu was such a Sister Francesca: strong, intelligent, and alluring. She left a permanent impact in everything she approached. "Once a great love of the Emperor, her return to the palace strains the balance of power in the capital," as read in the character description.

Alison Schapker is the showrunner and executive producer, along with Diane Ademu-John, who co-debuted the series. It is co-produced by HBO and Legendary Television.
