Ever since his 'Gadar-2' went on a hit spree, the tall and handsome Sunny Deol revealed the first look of his upcoming film, 'JATT,' on his birthday. In a sizzling poster, Sunny Deol can be seen clutching an old-school fan, ready to dish out a strong punch. The poster is captioned "Introducing a man with a national permit for massive action". Gopichand Malineni has directed this movie, which also boasts of being produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory. Starring beside Sithara will be Randeep Hooda, Saiyami Kher, Sharath Lohitashwa, Rajendra Prasad, and others.
The release date hasn't been announced yet, but according to reports, it's coming on Republic Day, 2025. Apart from 'Gadar 2,' Sunny Deol is working on another film titled 'Lahore 1947.'
The movie is being produced by Amir Khan and is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The heroine of the movie is Preity Zinta. Sunny Deol and his team have apparently completed the 70-day schedule of 'Lahore 1947' with a few instances of overtly dramatic action sequences. Earlier, he worked with Rajkumar Santoshi in 'Ghayal' and 'Damini.' He received Best Actor for 'Ghayal' and Best Supporting Actor for 'Damini.' He made his debut together with Amrita Singh in 'Betaab.' Then followed were 'Arjun,' 'Tridev,' and 'Chaalbaaz.'
Some super hits in the 90s include 'Ghayal,' 'Vishwatma,' 'Damini,' and 'Darr.' Now, in 'Darr,' Sunny Deol was the hero while Shah Rukh Khan played the negative lead. However, it was Rukh who hogged all the limelight taken away from Sunny, and since then, the two are not exactly on speaking terms. Sunny Deol was also a Lok Sabha MP from BJP. He, however, faced criticism for not giving time to his constituency. Later, he announced that he is not going to continue politics and did not take part in the election to 2024.
