A clip shared by a fan on X alleges that Udit Narayan kissed a female fan on the lips after she approached him for a selfie during a show.
The internet is outraged over a video that appears to show singer Udit Narayan kissing a female fan on the mouth during a performance. Several videos of the singer performing on stage have surfaced on social media platforms in the past few days.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Udit is heard singing Tip Tip Barsa Paani. Several female fans approach him to take selfies during the performance. Udit kneels down near the stage for the photographs, kissing some of them on the cheeks after they take their selfies.
At one point, Udit is seen gesturing to a security guard to allow a female fan to come closer for a selfie. The security person smiles and signals Udit to wait. After taking the selfie, the fan kisses Udit on the cheek. He then turns and kisses the fan on the lips. The audience can be heard shouting and cheering.
A black-and-white video, with an unknown date, has also been circulated on X this week, allegedly narrating how the incident took place. However, due to the poor resolution of the video, it is unclear whether the person in the clip is actually Udit Narayan.
Reacting to the video, one user commented, "Udit ji? Seriously? My eyes, my eyes. Can't expect something like this from him." Others questioned whether the video was altered. "Tell me it's AI, tell me it is!! What a nightmare. Beyond the boundaries of disgust. Why did he not kiss the guy taking a selfie with him???" wrote another user.
"He smooched the last girl on her lips like a molester. At least the other girls, he kissed on the cheeks," tweeted another social media user.
Another tweet read, "What is happening at the end??? Is he literally picking and choosing girls to call over for more creepy kissing since no one is left to ask for selfies?!!"
"At the end, he was literally begging for the fan to come closer so he could kiss her. Did you see how he held the last fan's neck to turn her easily for the kiss? This is not good," read another comment.
