Topping the chart of the top 10 Indian movies released theatrically were two films featuring Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, marking his return to the big screen after a hiatus of four years.

In a comprehensive roundup as 2023 nears its conclusion, IMDb recently revealed its list of the most popular movies across theatrical releases and streaming platforms.

Topping the chart of the top 10 Indian movies released theatrically were two films featuring Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, marking his return to the big screen after a hiatus of four years. 'Jawan' secured the 1st position, while 'Pathaan' comfortably claimed the second spot. Following closely was 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,' directed by Shah Rukh Khan's longtime friend and frequent collaborator Karan Johar.

The list of the most popular streaming films showcased 'Lust Stories 2' at the forefront, followed by 'Jaane Jaan' starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and 'Mission Majnu' featuring Sidharth Malhotra.

In the realm of streaming series, 'Farzi' emerged as the most popular Indian series of 2023, securing the top spot, trailed by 'Guns & Gulaabs' and 'The Night Manager.'
