Actress Rubina Dilaik proudly identifies as a "pahadan" and remains deeply connected to her cultural roots and traditions.
Originally from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, Rubina recently shared a series of photos on Instagram from a wedding in her hometown. These images show her engaging in the traditional "Himachali" dance with her family.
Expressing her pride in her heritage, Rubina captioned one of the photos: “Always rooted in my tradition and culture, as I proudly call myself a Pahadan.” She also posted several close-up shots of the family event.
Captioning another set of photos with "July Wedding," Rubina, who is married to actor Abhinav Shukla, showcased her joy at the celebration.
At 34 years old and a mother of two, Rubina began her journey into the glamour industry through beauty pageants. She won two local contests and was crowned Miss Shimla in 2006.
Rubina’s acting career took off with her debut in 'Chotti Bahu', leading to roles in several other shows including 'Saas Bina Sasural', 'Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed', 'Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev', and 'Jeannie Aur Juju'.
Her portrayal of a trans woman in 'Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki' alongside Vivian Dsena earned her significant recognition.
Rubina's journey continued as she participated in the 14th season of 'Bigg Boss', ultimately winning the competition. She also competed in the 12th season of 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi' and 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10'.
In 2022, Rubina made her film debut with 'Ardh', starring alongside Rajpal Yadav and Hiten Tejwani.
