It finally looks like the very long-standing tiff between two big rappers is finally coming to an end. During a recent performance at the GraFest 2024 concert in Dehradun, Badshah made a big overture by reaching out to fellow rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, signaling a desire to put their differences behind them. Stopping in between a performance of the popular song 'Genda Phool', Badshah expressed his intention to mend fences, attributing their past discord to misunderstandings.
Reflecting on his journey, Badshah candidly admitted having felt bitter about Honey Singh once upon a time but made it clear that he had moved on. "There was a time when I held grudges, particularly against Honey Singh, because of some miscommunication. But then I realized that more people were trying to create differences between us than people who wanted us to get along," he said, indicating that he has changed his views. "Today, I want to publicly announce that I have decided to get over that phase, and I wish all the best to him," he said
The two rap icons first rose to fame together as part of the rap collective 'Mafia Mundeer', spewing out hits like 'Khol Botal', 'Begani Naar', 'Buri', and 'Delhi Ke Deewane' before parting ways in 2009. Their public breakup escalated into a series of subtle potshots on social media and thinly-veiled lyrical shots taken at each other, fueling rumors of the intensity of their animosity.
Recently, Badshah's comment at a concert, where he made a sly dig at Yo Yo Honey Singh, had created controversy among fans. However, with this recent olive branch extended, it seems both artists are ready to turn a new leaf and move forward.
On another note, Badshah's personal life has also been under the scanner, with rumors of him dating Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Addressing the rumors in an interview with BBC Asian Network, Hania denied the rumors and said that she and Badshah share a very close friendship. \"Badshah is a wonderful friend. Behind all the glamour, he is a genuinely kind and down-to-earth person. Our friendship is based on real things, and he always has my back whenever I need something,\" she confirmed, elaborating on their friendship.\n\nHania further says that people assume things about her personal life because of societal pressure, which demands that an unmarried woman should be involved with somebody. However, her insistence on having a friendly equation with Badshah should be able to diffuse all the speculations that have been rife about their relationship.
