The highly awaited action movie Coolie, under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj and featuring superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role, is set to release worldwide on August 14, as officially announced by the makers of the movie on Friday.
Sun Pictures, the banner producing the movie, announced the release date on their official X (previously known as Twitter) account.
Their tweet read, "Sound-ah yethu! Deva Varraaru #Coolie worldwide from August 14th."
Buzz surrounding Coolie has been growing gradually, courtesy of numerous factors that have increased hype among fans and cinemaphiles alike.
Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, who wrapped up the shoot for this high-energy venture last month, had previously recounted how personally special the process of making this movie was for him. He noted that it was an experience that he would never forget for a lifetime.
An action-packed thriller in the making, Coolie boasts a stellar ensemble cast alongside Rajinikanth. The lineup includes celebrated names from across the South Indian film industries, such as Telugu cinema icon Nagarjuna, Kannada star Upendra, Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir, and a prominent Tamil actor whose name is expected to be revealed soon.
