Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought joy to the newlywed Bollywood couple, film producer Jackky Bhagnani and actress Rakul Preet Singh, by sending his "heartiest congratulations and greetings" to them.
In a letter addressed to Jackky's parents, Vashu and Pooja Bhagnani, PM Modi conveyed his warm wishes, stating, "As Jackky and Rakul embark on their journey of trust and togetherness for a lifetime, I extend my heartiest congratulations and greetings to them on the auspicious occasion of their wedding.
"The years ahead offer the couple an opportunity to not only discover each other but also to explore the path of self-discovery together."
Continuing his message, PM Modi expressed, "May the hearts, minds, and actions of the couple be in harmony. As they support each other through life's journey, may they hold hands firmly, pursuing their dreams and aspirations while assuming responsibilities with thoughtfulness and affection. May the groom and bride be ideal partners in life's voyage, accepting each other's imperfections and drawing inspiration from each other's virtues.
"I am deeply grateful for the invitation to the wedding ceremony. Once again, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes for this significant occasion."
Jackky and Rakul took to their Instagram Stories to share the Prime Minister's letter and express their gratitude.
Jackky wrote, "Thank you so much, honorable PM @narendramodi ji. Your blessings hold immense significance for us as we embark on this new journey."
Rakul added, "Thank you so much, honorable Prime Minister @narendramodi ji... your wishes mean a lot to us."
The wedding festivities took place in Goa, commencing with haldi and sangeet ceremonies. The sangeet, hosted by actors Riteish Deshmukh and Bhumi Pednekar, set the tone for the celebrations. The couple exchanged vows in two ceremonies, one following Sikh traditions and the other in a Sindhi-style ceremony.
