Pankaj Tripathi Declares Actors as Puppets Controlled by Writers and Directors

Tripathi was present at the trailer launch for one of the most awaited third seasons of the popular series 'Mirzapur'. The grand event happened on Thursday in the posh surroundings of a five-star in Mumbai's Bandra suburb—which also had co-stars Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Anjumm Shharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, and Sheeba Chadha in attendance.

Pankaj Tripathi, one of the finest actors in memorable roles of many films like 'Singham Returns', 'Gangs of Wasseypur', and 'Masaan', recently shared his views imperative to the role of an actor in filmmaking. He feels that an actor is only an instrument who works according to the vision given by the writer and the director.

While there was no media interaction session featured in the event, Tripathi shared with the host, “We actors are just puppets. The writers and directors are puppeteers, they run the show and streamline the story. As actors, we do what we are told or briefed about.”

He then made a tiny correction to what he was saying, addressing the media present in the room, “Chaliye, theek hai, upar waala humse karwa raha hai aur hum kar rahe hain…”
