Hyped as the largest ever live entertainment event in India, Coldplay's double concerts drew enthusiasts from all over the country and even from outside, turning the city into a transient cultural center.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also acknowledged this rising trend during his address at the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025. He further added, "In a country with so rich cultural heritage in music, dance and storytelling, with so massive a pool of youth and a gigantic consumer market for concerts, there are humongous opportunities for the concert economy.". Over the past decade, both the trend and demand for live shows have gone up. You must have definitely noticed the lovely images of the Coldplay concerts at Ahmedabad and Mumbai in the recent days. This is a proof of the enormous potential of live concerts in India."

This consumer enthusiasm boom for world-class events reflects not just a growing disposable income but a shifting cultural environment that craves experiential living. The report also stated that the Ahmedabad leg of the tour earned ₹72 crore in GST revenues to the Government of India, highlighting the fiscal significance of mass-scale entertainment events.
