Bhumi Pednekar Stuns in Repurposed Banarasi Saree and Corset at LFW

Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar, who had last been seen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, stopped traffic as she sashayed down the runway for designer Amit Aggarwal at Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai.

The designer made an eye-catching hybrid outfit for Bhumi for the event, taking the beauty of a Banarasi saree and pairing it with a trendy corset and balloon pants.

Complimenting Aggarwal's innovative spirit, Bhumi expressed her appreciation in an interview with IANS. "Amit is extremely, extremely talented. He is one of the best we have right now. I am a crusader for sustainable options, particularly in fashion. I always encourage designers who take that route. Congratulations to Amit for bringing back Indian fabrics," she added.

In answer to what her take on fashion is, Bhumi called it a strong expression of oneself. "Fashion, for me, is a path of self-realization. I've come to understand that I am at my best when I am embracing the unconventional—be it in fashion, in choosing my roles for films, or the way of living. I like to break the rule because that's me."

On the work front, Bhumi is prepping for The Royals, a royal romance show on Netflix. The show features an ensemble cast with Ishaan Khatter, Sakshi Tanwar, Zeenat Aman, Chunky Panday, and Nora Fatehi.

Talking about her enthusiasm, she said, "I'm really excited about it. It's a genre I've never done before. I've never done an urban rom-com, so this is something new for me."

Bhumi was recently seen in Los Angeles, where she gave her fans a glimpse into her day via social media.

She posted amusing selfies capturing the energetic mood she was in while soaking up the city's atmosphere. In addition to the photographs, she also uploaded a shopping video of herself, giving fans a glimpse of her laid-back yet stylish day out.
