Albert Kabo Lepcha, a 27-year-old from Kalimpong, West Bengal, achieved a remarkable feat by winning the prestigious trophy on the singing reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2023', despite lacking formal training in singing. His journey to success was not solitary; he acknowledged his wife as an instrumental guiding force throughout his remarkable journey.
Albert's awe-inspiring performances and consistent excellence, winning the OG singer of the week twice, ultimately earned him the coveted trophy, a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh, and a brand-new car.
Among the top five finalists were Nishtha Sharma, Sneha Bhattacharya, Ranita Banerjee, and Sonia Gazmer, with Nishtha and Ranita securing the first and second runners-up positions, respectively.
The grand finale episode witnessed an exhilarating atmosphere with judges Himesh Reshammiya, Anu Malik, and Neeti Mohan joined by the evergreen Govinda, along with his wife Sunita Ahuja and veteran actress Aruna Irani. Co-hosted by Haarsh Limbachiyaa and Aditya Narayan, the episode doubled the excitement with sensational performances and entertaining acts.
Overjoyed by his win, Albert expressed, "I felt very happy when Aditya Narayan announced my name as the winner. I had put in a lot of dedication and hard work, so the result means a lot to me."
