Renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly presented his lavish Mumbai residence, 'Prateeksha,' to his daughter, Shweta Bachchan. The estimated value of this opulent bungalow is Rs 50 crore.
The significance of Prateeksha lies in its history as Amitabh Bachchan's initial home in Juhu, where he resided with his parents, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan. In 2007, the bungalow witnessed the marriage of his son, Abhishek Bachchan, and actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Recent reports indicate that the valuation of Prateeksha surpasses Rs 50 crore, and the official transfer of ownership occurred through two distinct gift deeds on November 8, accompanied by a stamp duty payment of Rs 50.65 lakh.
Amitabh Bachchan's real estate portfolio in Mumbai extends beyond Prateeksha, including two other prominent bungalows, namely Jalsa and Janak.
During the 14th season of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati,' the cinematic legend shared the origin of the bungalow's name. He revealed that his father played a pivotal role in christening the house, citing a line from one of his father's poems: Swagat sabke liye yahan par nehin kisike liye Prateeksha, emphasizing the welcoming essence encapsulated in the name.
