Akshay Kumar Applauds PM Modi’s Waves Summit as a Game-Changer for Global Entertainment

Akshay Kumar has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision initiative, the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES), as a revolutionary move set to revolutionalise the world of entertainment.

The Bollywood icon recently took to Instagram to share his excitement about WAVES 2025, calling it a game-changer that will define the future of entertainment on a global scale. In his message, the Housefull actor highlighted India's leadership position in the storytelling genre, citing that the nation is the world's largest film producer.

On Tuesday, Khiladi Kumar reposted a video on his Instagram account, where he spoke enthusiastically about India's content production in as many as 35 different languages and its widespread influence on the global media sector.

In the video, Akshay Kumar says: "Hello, I'm Akshay Kumar. You and I have always believed that Indian storytelling can make the world shake with our stories. But now it's the time for the entire world to accept it. India produces the most films in the world, and we produce content in a minimum of 35 languages."

He also points out India's role in creating the media scenario, adding: "Our audio-visual content defines the media scenario, and our entertainment prowess has the potential to influence the world. A big step in this direction is soon going to be taken, so be prepared for the World Audio-Video Summit Waves 2025. It will be the world's most influential congregation of minds that will redefine the future of world entertainment, here in our nation. India, be prepared for it. Jai Hind."

Scheduled to be organized under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Modi, WAVES 2025 will be conducted from May 1 to May 4 at Mumbai's Jio World Convention Centre and Jio World Garden.

Picturably, PM Modi initially made the declaration regarding India's hosting of the World Audio-Visual Entertainment Summit during his December 2024 'Mann Ki Baat' radio talk by announcing that the nation was hosting the world summit for the very first time from February 5 to February 9.
