Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash have been one of television’s most adored couples since they found love on Bigg Boss 15 in 2021.
Fondly known as TejRan by their fans, the duo has remained strong despite frequent breakup rumors. Recently, speculation about their wedding gained momentum after Tejasswi’s mother expressed her desire to see her daughter get married this year on Celebrity Masterchef.
With Karan now participating in Laughter Chefs Season 2, he exclusively spoke to SCREEN about whether wedding bells are ringing for him and Tejasswi this year.
Karan on Tejasswi’s Mother Wanting Her to Marry Soon
When questioned if Tejasswi's mother had openly wished for the wedding of her daughter to take place in 2024, Karan remained evasive. "I don't know much about this. Many people want that, but I have no comments on that," he replied.
Incidentally, Tejasswi herself dismissed the plans on Celebrity Masterchef, making it clear that she and Karan hadn't spoken about it yet.
Tejasswi's Dream Wedding and Karan's Changing Attitude towards Marriage
Tejasswi recently opened up about marriage, stating she would like a simple, close-knit wedding. Karan has earlier spoken to SCREEN regarding his plans as well. In an interview, co-star from Laughter Cheaks 2 Erica Fernandes was asked to detail his matrimonial profile. With a wink, she said, "Karan is never looking to get married."
Karan, however, had a cryptic response, hinting that things could change. "Waqt badalte der nahi lagta (It doesn’t take long for times to change)," he quipped.
Karan on Tejasswi’s Masterchef Journey and Their Love for Food
Now that Karan is making an entry into a cooking reality show, he was queried whether he had borrowed any inspiration from Tejasswi's experience on Celebrity Masterchef. He chuckled and replied, "Monday to Friday, Teja is handling the cooking side on television, and Saturday-Sunday, I am handling it. Both of us are huge foodies. At present, she is sitting in front of me, asking me what she should cook."
Though Karan confesses he doesn't cook much, he's loving the outcome of Tejasswi's new culinary skills. "All that she is cooking post-show is amazing, so I am extremely happy," he further added.
While their fans are waiting with bated breath for an official wedding announcement, for the time being, Karan and Tejasswi appear to be loving their ride—both on and off screen.
