Singers Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, and Sonu Nigam recently came together to celebrate Adnan Sami’s 53rd birthday with a lively and playful birthday song, affectionately calling him ‘Sunita’.
Shankar shared a video on Instagram, where his 1.5 million followers could watch as Adnan’s musical friends sang a cheerful birthday tune for him. In the video, Adnan is dressed in a white polo shirt and blue jeans, while Shankar wears a lavender kurta pyjama, Shaan is seen in a pastel pink striped shirt, and Sonu sports a white striped shirt with matching trousers.
The birthday rendition features the song ‘Baar Baar Din Ye Aaye,’ with the celebratory ending, ‘Happy Birthday to you Sunita.’ Shankar’s caption for the post read: “Had a blast celebrating Adnan’s birthday! Happy birthday, bro!”
Sonu also posted the same video, adding: “Imagine how much he must have fed everyone... his name itself has 'Naan' in it! Happy birthday, my brother Adnan!!” Adnan responded humorously with: “Used to eat it all myself before... now I feed others.” Sonu replied with a laugh: “Hahahahahaha love you…”
Veteran actress Poonam Dhillon joined the festivities and posted a Reel video on Instagram featuring herself and Sonu singing ‘Tu Tu Hai Wahi,’ with Shaan and Adnan adding to the music with a piano accompaniment. Her caption read: “What a birthday celebration…happy birthday dearest Adnan…love Sonu, Shaan.”
