Aamir Khan Ensures Women in His Family Adorn Nauvari Sarees for Ira's Wedding

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is actively involved in overseeing the Maharashtrian pre-wedding rituals and traditions for the upcoming wedding of his daughter Ira Khan with Nupur Shikhare on January 8. Aamir is ensuring that the ceremonies align with the groom's family's preferences, participating in the shagun ki mehendi and Haldi ceremony. The actor is dedicated to preserving the authenticity of the rituals, even coordinating the attire choices, with the women in the family donning traditional Nauvari Sarees.

Aamir Khan arrived in Udaipur with his son Azad on Friday for the ongoing wedding festivities. Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare also departed for Udaipur earlier on the same day. The traditional Maharashtrian wedding ceremony is set to take place from January 8 to 10, with family members attending the functions. Following the Udaipur celebrations, the couple will host a reception at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai on January 13, expected to be attended by Bollywood luminaries such as Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.

The couple officially signed the marriage registration document on January 3 at Taj Lands End in Mumbai, with the pre-wedding festivities including a Haldi ceremony commencing earlier in the week. Nupur Shikhare, the official fitness trainer of Ira and Aamir Khan, proposed to Ira in 2022.
