Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and his son Azad have arrived in Udaipur for the traditional wedding ceremony of Aamir's daughter Ira Khan. Ira legally married Nupur Shikhare on January 3 in Mumbai, and the traditional Maharashtrian wedding ceremony is scheduled to take place on January 8 at Taj Aravali Resort in Udaipur. The wedding festivities will extend from January 8 to 10, and all 176 rooms at the resort have been booked for the family and guests.
Following the Udaipur celebrations, the couple will return to Mumbai for a reception at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre on January 13. The reception is expected to be attended by prominent figures from Bollywood, including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
Nupur Shikhare, Ira's official fitness trainer, proposed to her in 2022. The pre-wedding celebrations commenced with a Haldi ceremony, and the couple made their marriage official by signing the registration document at Taj Lands End in Mumbai on January 3, surrounded by friends and family.
