IIM Udaipur placements: Average stipend increases by 65.72%

The IIM Udaipur completed the summer placement process for the Batch of 2021-23 with 300 students securing placements and the average stipend increasing by 65.72%. Sharing the topline results and sustaining its growth trajectory -- the stipend for the batch reached Rs 3,00,000 offered in the FMCG and consulting sectors. The top 10 per cent secured an average stipend of Rs 2,62,000; the top 20 per cent secured an average of Rs 2,22,500, and the top 50 per cent received an average stipend of Rs 1,61,000.
SC to hear on Wednesday plea against physical exams for Class 10, 12 CBSE & other boards

The petition will be heard by a bench headed by Justice A.M. Khanwilkar, which oversaw the conduct of exams based on CBSE's 30:30:40 alternative evaluation criteria for exams last year. The plea, filed through advocate Prashant Padmanabhan, said many students studying in CBSE, ICSE, NIOS and state board approached the petitioner, Anubha Shrivastava Sahai, for issues they are facing regarding the board exam.

Advocate Prashant Padmanabhan mentioned the petition for urgent listing before a bench headed by Chief Justice N.V. Ramana. He submitted that the matter is regarding Class 10 and 12 exams. "Physical classes couldn't be conducted due to the pandemic", added Padmanabhan. After hearing brief submissions, the Chief Justice said: "Let the matter go before the bench of Justice A.M. Khanwilkar".
2,000 Indian students scammed as 3 Canadian colleges shut after bankruptcy

Over 2,000 Indian students, who face an uncertain future after three Montreal colleges closed last month by declaring bankruptcy, have demanded intervention by the Canadian government to give them justice. The CCSQ College, M. College, and CDE College had collected millions of dollars in tuition fees from these students before closing. The students, many of whom have moved to different cities to stay with friends or relatives, say they have been scammed.

Western Australia state reopens to international students

The state of Western Australia (WA) announced a new pathway for already-enrolled international students to return to the Aussie state despite its closed borders. The new pathway announced on Tuesday night allows international students already enrolled in a WA primary school, secondary school, university, college, and technical college, among others, to enter the state, Xinhua news agency reported. Students can either fly directly into the state within the arrival cap set by the Australian government, or indirectly by transiting through another state or territory.
