QS Rankings: IIT Bombay best in employability, IIT Delhi ranks second
In the rankings, released in London recently, IIT Bombay was evaluated as India's top higher education institution for its excellence in employability, social concern, and environment. IIT Bombay was featured in the 281-300 rank range, followed by IIT Delhi (321-340 rank) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) at the third rank (361-380).
DU Admissions 2022: DU releases NCWEB first cut-off list, check out details here
According to the official notification, the first cut-off list has been released for BA (Programme) and BCom courses. The admission process under the NCWEB will begin today, October 26 and will end at 11:59 pm on October 28 at the respective teaching centres. Miranda House college of DU, released the highest cut-off, i.e. 94 per cent for B.A Economics + Political Science course. While it is 95 per cent at Miranda House and Jesus and Mary college for B.Com admissions.
DU Admissions 2022: Last date to accept seats under CSAS round 1 today, check out details here
Candidates who are shortlisted in the DU round 1 seat allocation can 'accept' the allocated seat till 11:59 pm on October 22. Candidates are required to do so by visiting the official website-- admission.uod.ac.in. Previously the last date to accept the seats under CSAS round 1 was October 21. Once the students accept the allocated seats to them, then the colleges have time till 2 pm on October 23 to verify and approve the online applications of the selected candidates.
India asks its students in China to register for consular needs
"With concerted efforts, Indian medical students have started returning to mainland China to re-join their respective universities. In order to ensure timely facilitation of their consular needs, Indian students in China are requested to fill in the registration form," a notification on the Indian Embassy's website stated on Friday.

UGC NET 2022: provisional answer key, question paper released, check out details here
Eligible candidates can check their answer key at the official website - ugcnet.nta.nic.in. It is important to note that candidates who wish to challenge the answer key can raise their objections before October 20, 5 PM. Candidates are required to pay a sum of Rs 200 per answer challenged, to be paid online by 11:50 pm on October 20. Once the candidate raises their objection and challenges a question, it will then be verified by the panel of subject experts.
SC declines to stay Delhi HC judgment asking St Stephen's to comply with DU policy
A bench of Justices Ajay Rastogi and C.T. Ravikumar dismissed the application filed by the college seeking interim relief. It clarified that validity of admissions will be subject to the final outcome of the appeal by St. Stephen's College and scheduled the matter for next hearing in mid-March next year. Dismissing the application for interim relief, the bench said: "We find no reason to stay the operation of the judgment (Delhi High Court)."
St. Stephen's withdraws prospectus that mandated interview for admission
Earlier on Wednesday, the Supreme Court refused to stay the Delhi High Court judgment which asked St. Stephen's College to issue a fresh prospectus giving 100 per cent weightage to Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 score for non-minority candidates applying to under-graduate courses, and affirming no interviews for the admissions.
