UK university launches Lord Karan Bilimoria scholarship for Indian students

The Lord Karan Bilimoria (Chancellor's) Scholarship will include a full tuition fee waiver and accommodation costs up to the duration of the programme for the winner, as well as four runner-up awards of 5,000 pounds tuition fee waiver. It is open only to Indian students applying for postgraduate study programmes at the University's campuses in Birmingham and Dubai.
Even universities not registered with NTA can now access CUET scores

Last year, CUET was conducted for the first time. A total of 14.9 lakh students had registered themselves for the exam, which took place in five weeks in 450 centres. This year, more than 15 lakh students are expected to appear in this examination, due to which the National Testing Agency (NTA), which will be conducting the exam, has doubled the centres as compared to last time to around 1,000.

The applicants can make an appeal against the rejection of their applications within 10 days. The rejection has to be submitted along with the documentary evidence (original hard copy) or in person to Mr. AK Roy, Under Secretary (CSP). The last date for submitting the rejection is 17th March.
Bizarre govt college order: Mathematicians to teach philosophy, botanists will tackle economics

An internal arrangement office order issued by the principal of the college has discovered a novel method to address teaching staff shortage at the institution. The order issued by the college principal assigns the duties of teaching economics to teachers of the college's botany department. Similarly, public administration will be taught by chemistry teachers, political science by education and sports teachers and social work by zoology teachers.
DU starts appointment process for principals in over 20 colleges

Most of these colleges are funded by the Delhi government. Bharati College has shortlisted the names after screening and updated them on the college website. The interview for the appointment of principal will be held on March 10. From March 10, the process of recruitment in all other colleges will also be expedited.
JEE Advance '23: Delhi High Court seeks Centre's response on plea seeking relaxation for students

The applicants have urged that it be made possible for them to retake the engineering entrance exam. The court listed the matter for next hearing on March 23. Technical issues plagued both JEE Main 2022 sessions, which were held in June and July last year. These errors prevented the candidates from giving the exam a fair shot, which led to significant decreases in many candidates' scores and percentiles.

According to the official notification, the advance intimation for the allotment of exam city for UGC NET December 2022 (Phase V, 9 subjects), which is scheduled to be conducted between 13th of March and 15th of March 2023 has been activated. The applicants are required to check / download their Examination City Intimation Slip of UGC NET December 2022, Phase -V from the official website by using their application number and date of birth. 
BHU withdraws order banning Holi celebrations inside campus

The chief proctor of BHU said, "Regarding gathering at public place to celebrate Holi, the order issued on February 28, 2023, is being withdrawn in the light of the response received through social media and other means of communication. Everyone is expected to celebrate the festival of colours with due dignity.
Deakin University becomes 1st foreign varsity to get nod for opening campus in India

"By virtue of this approval, Deakin University will be able to offer the same degree courses it offers in Australia in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Financial Management in GIFT IFSC to both Indian and foreign students. The degree offered shall be identical or similar to that offered in the home jurisdiction," IFSCA chairperson Injeti Srinivas said.

The academic session will be starting from 1st of August while the semester examination will be held between 1st of December and 15th of December and during the time of winter vacation between December 15 and January 12, 2024, the university will remain close for the students.
