Bihar government orders closure of schools, colleges till April 11

The decision was taken by the crisis management group of the state government after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar consulted officials at a high-level meeting on Saturday to consider shutting down the schools and colleges amid a surge in Covid-19 infections. Nitish has directed officials not to allow any large public gathering and put a cap on the number of marriage and birthday parties.
Covid effect: Maharashtra promotes all students in Class I-VIII without exams

"In view of the ongoing situation due to Covid-19, all state board students across Maharashtra state from Class 1st to Class 8th will be promoted to the next class without any examinations," Gaikwad said. However, the minister added that a decision is pending on conducting exams for the students in Class IX and Class XI and is expected soon.
