GATE 2023: IIT Kanpur declares results, 18% candidates clear exam | Here’re details

Around 6.70 lakh candidates had registered for the examination out of which about 5.17 lakh candidates appeared for the GATE 2023 examination. From the number of candidates who has appeared for the examination only around 1 lakh had qualified the exam whereas the pass percentage was nearly 18 percent. 

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has released the results of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 examination. The results are available at the official website of IIT Kanpur - GATE 2023 – gate.iitk.ac.in. The examination was conducted in eight sessions on 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th of February 2023. 

Around 6.70 lakh candidates had registered for the examination out of which about 5.17 lakh candidates appeared for the GATE 2023 examination. From the number of candidates who has appeared for the examination only around 1 lakh had qualified the exam whereas the pass percentage was nearly 18 percent.

The GATE 2023 exams were conducted in over 500 centres across the country and the overall attendance was 77%. The examination was conducted in 29 subjects where the students had choice of selection two papers in some subjects. The Metallurgical engineering paper has recorded the highest qualified percentage of this year i.e., 25%.  The score cards would be available by 22nd of March instead of 21st of March and the students would be able to download their results from the portal till 31st of May without charging any fees.
