US President Donald Trump jumped onto Truth Social on Wednesday, February 19, to vent a vicious rant against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, accusing the latter of having done a "terrible job" and being a "dictator without Elections."
Trump spoke after Zelenskyy had made statements on the same day, declaring that the US president was moving in a "disinformation space.
Zelenskyy's outburst was a response to Trump's claim that just 4 percent of Ukrainians trusted their government.
Taking to his Truth Social, Trump penned, "Think of it, a somewhat successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, spoke the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to enter a War that couldn't be won, that never needed to begin, but a War that he, without the U.S. and "TRUMP," will never be able to resolve."
Trump went on to say that the war mattered much more to the EU than to the US.
"America spent $200 Billion Dollars more than Europe, and the money of Europe is ensured, whereas America will receive nothing in return. Why didn't Sleepy Joe Biden insist on Equalization, wherein this War is much more vital to Europe than to us — We have a huge, gorgeous Ocean as a divider."
"On top of that, Zelenskyy confesses that half of the funds we sent him are "MISSING." He won't hold Elections, is polling very low in Ukraine, and the only thing he was proficient at was playing Biden "like a fiddle." A Dictator without Elections, Zelenskyy had better hurry up or he won't have a Country anymore."
Meanwhile, we are effectively brokering a termination of the War with Russia, which all acknowledge only "TRUMP," and the Trump Administration, can accomplish. Biden never attempted it, Europe has not been able to deliver Peace, and Zelenskyy likely wishes to continue the "gravy train.". Ukraine is a great place, but Zelenskyy has been a disaster, his Country is in ruins, and MILLIONS unnecessarily lost their lives – And so it goes……" posted the US president.
Trump accuses Ukraine of starting war
Earlier this week, former US President Donald Trump attacked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, describing him as a "grossly incompetent" leader and poor negotiator.
In response to Ukraine's indignation over being allegedly left out of US-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia, Trump dismissed the issue, saying that Ukraine should have ended the war years ago.
"Today I heard, 'oh, we weren't invited.' Well, you've been there for three years. You should have ended it. You should have never started it. You could have made a deal," Trump said.
"Regrettably, President Trump, out of respect for him as the head of a country we respect very much … is residing in this disinformation environment," Zelenskyy was cited as stating.
Zelenskyy added that he will try to obtain more information about trust in important world leaders to counteract Russian disinformation.
