RIL biggest wealth creator in India, Adani Transmission fastest: Study

India's financial sector has emerged as the top value creator between 2016 and 2021 and it will continue to dominate wealth creation for quite some in the near future as well, Motilal Oswal Financial Services has said in its 26th Annual Wealth Creation Study 2021.

India's financial sector has emerged as the top value creator between 2016 and 2021 and it will continue to dominate wealth creation for quite some in the near future as well, Motilal Oswal Financial Services has said in its 26th Annual Wealth Creation Study 2021. The Reliance Industries emerged as the biggest wealth creator,  Adani Transmission as the fastest, and the Adani Enterprises as the most consistent wealth creator of them all, according to the study.

Key Points:


1. With 9.7 lakh crore total wealth created over 2016-2021, the Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance industries became the biggest wealth creator as the wealth created by the Oil-to-telecom conglomerate remains the highest so far. Reliance Industries remained consistently the biggest wealth creator for the third time, as per the study. TCS, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, and ICICI Bank were among the other biggest wealth creators after RIL.

2. As per the study, Adani Enterprises also emerged as the top all-around wealth creator. The Gautam Adani-led enterprise emerged as the fastest wealth creator from 2016 to 2021, growing at a CAGR of 93%, and Deepak Nitrite, Adani Enterprises, and Tanla Platforms were the next fastest-growing entities.

3. Adani Enterprises had the most consistent performance in the past five years as it has posted the highest price CAGR at 86% during the period, while Reliance has delivered a price CAGR of 31% during the same span of time. The Motilal study has defined the consistent wealth creators based on the number of years the stock has outperformed in each of the last 5 years.
