MakeMyTrip Witnesses a Remarkable 1,806% Surge in Ayodhya Searches Following Inauguration Announcement

The peak search for Ayodhya was recorded on December 30, 2023, coinciding with the inauguration of the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport.

MakeMyTrip, the online travel company, has reported a substantial surge in searches for Ayodhya on its platform since the announcement of the inauguration. The company shared on Instagram that there has been a remarkable 1,806% increase in searches for Ayodhya. Additionally, MakeMyTrip noted a 97% growth in searches for spiritual destinations over the past two years.

The peak search for Ayodhya was recorded on December 30, 2023, coinciding with the inauguration of the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport. The top 10 pilgrimage and spiritual destinations showing significant growth in searches include Ayodhya (585%), Ujjain (359%), Badrinath (343%), Amarnath (329%), Kedarnath (322%), Mathura (223%), Dwarkadhish (193%), Shirdi (181%), Haridwar (117%), and Bodh Gaya (114%).

Interestingly, Ayodhya's global searches also garnered attention, with significant interest from the United States (22.5%), Gulf countries (22.2%), Canada (9.3%), Nepal (6.6%), and Australia (6.1%).

The 'Pran Pratishta' ceremony of Ram Lalla is scheduled to take place in the newly built Ram Temple on January 22, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the inauguration. The increased interest in Ayodhya and other spiritual destinations reflects a growing trend in travelers seeking meaningful and spiritual experiences.
