The Tesla founder has sold more than three-quarters of his electric carmaking company after the majority of his Twitter followers replied 'yes' to the poll where he asked them if he should offload 10% of his Tesla stake. The billionaire has been on a selling spree ever since and has sold nearly $14 billion of Tesla stock since November 8.

1. The Tesla founder kept his pledge to sell off 10% of his stake in the company and second the markets witnessed the second round of disposals this week. Musk offloaded 934,091 Tesla shares worth over $884 million, according to regulatory filings dated Thursday.

2. Musk has so far sold 12.9 million shares for $13.6 billion while exercising 17 million of the derivatives. Tesla's stocks have also witnessed a 25% drop since November 4.

3. On November 6 this year, Elon Musk had asked his Twitter followers whether he should offload 10% of his Tesla stake. The majority of Musk's followers had voted 'yes' and he is keeping his word as he continues selling his stocks.

4. With a $243 billion fortune, Musk is the world's richest person, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. He was also given the title of "Person of the Year" by Time Magazine this year.
