Adani to invest Rs 2 lakh crore in Gujarat, Gautam Adani

Addressing the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, Adani emphasized that this substantial investment is expected to generate a staggering 1 lakh employment opportunities.

On Wednesday, billionaire Gautam Adani revealed plans for an investment exceeding Rs 2 lakh crore in Gujarat, primarily directed towards establishing a colossal green energy park set to make a mark visible even from outer space.

Addressing the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, Adani emphasized that this substantial investment is expected to generate a staggering 1 lakh employment opportunities. He highlighted the Adani Group's commitment, stating that out of the previously pledged Rs 55,000 crore, the group has already expended Rs 50,000 crore.

The conglomerate, known for its diverse ventures from apples to airports, is presently focused on constructing a green energy park in Kutch. This massive undertaking boasts a capacity of 30 GW spread across 25 square kilometers, promising an impact so significant that it will be discernible from space, Adani proudly mentioned.

Reflecting on India's economic strides, Adani pointed out an exceptional growth of 185 per cent in GDP and a 165 per cent surge in per capita income since 2014. He underscored the unparalleled nature of this growth, considering the various challenges posed by geopolitical dynamics and the ongoing pandemic.
