Gujarat Assembly polls: BJP suspends seven rebels
Party media coordinator Yagnesh Dave said the party has suspended Harsad Vasava (Nandod constituency- Narmada district), Arvindbhai Ladani (Keshod- Junagadh), Chhatrasinh Gunjarsaria (Dhrangadhra - Surendranagar), Ketan Patel (Pardi - Valsad), Bharat Chavda (Rajkot rural - Rajkot), Uday Shah (Veraval - Gir Somnath) and Karan Baraiya from Rajula in Amreli district for anti-party activities.

State Congress President Jagdish Thakor's brother Amtrubhai Thakor has been fielded from Kankrej seat in north Gujarat. Another surprise is turncoat Prabhatsinh Chauhan, who too had recently joined Congress, will be the party candidate from Kalol (Panchmahal) seat. His wife Rageshwari, and daughter-in-law Suman Chauhan are campaigning for BJP candidate Fatehsinh Chauhan from the same seat.

Gujarat Assembly polls: BJP releases second list of six candidates
The six seats from which the saffron party has announced the candidates in the second list will go to polls on December 1. The candidates, who were able to make it to the second list of the BJP, are Mahendrabhai Padlia from Dhoraji, Mullubhai Bera from Khambhalia, Dhelibehan Maldebai Odedara from Kutiyana, Sejal Rajiv Kumar Pandya from Bhavnagar East, Hitesh Devji Vasava from Dediapada and Sandeep Desai from Choryasi.
BJP fields Rivaba, wife of cricketer Ravindrasinh Jadeja, from Jamnagar North
Hakubha was a turncoat, having left the Congress to join the BJP in 2017 and won the Assembly elections on BJP symbol. He was hoping that the party would renominate him in this election, but it has not happened. After the announcement of BJP candidates list, Rivaba Jadeja visited the party office and told the media: "Ravindrasinh is also an indirect party member and soon we will get him on ground to campaign for the party."
Rupani, six other senior leaders not to contest Gujarat polls
Their announcement came before the BJP's Central Election Committee meeting began in New Delhi. Rupani was first to inform media that he is not going to contest and has informed party's state and national leadership that he is not interested in contesting elections.
