Hyundai slips to 6th place in global EV market in 2021 1st half

Hyundai Motor was in sixth place in terms of global EVs sales in the January-June period, one notch down from the fifth position a year ago, according to the data by industry tracker SNE Research. The automaker's global EV sales jumped 75.6 percent on-year to 51,300 units in the first six months of the year, but its market share fell to 2.9 percent from 4.5 percent over the period, data showed.

The company cited that Tigor EV is powered by its well-proven state-of-the-art high voltage electric architecture -- Ziptron. Mercedes to bid goodbye to Formula E after 2022

The announcement comes only three days after Dutch driver Nyck de Vries won the Formula E world championship title after finishing eighth in the season's final race in Berlin. Mercedes also won the teams' title after Belgium's Stoffel Vandoorne finished in third place. Mercedes follows the footsteps of Audi and BMW exiting Formula E at the end of this year.
Renault Nissan ordered to pay Rs 70.84 cr as interim relief to workers

The total outgo for the company as interim relief will be Rs 70.84 crore. As per the order, each of the 3,542 workers of Renault Nissan Automotive will be paid an interim relief of Rs 10,000/month for the period between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020 and Rs 5,000/month between April 1, 2020 and July 31, 2021. The company was ordered to pay the wage arrears in three equated monthly instalments to the workers starting October this year.
Amaze facelift 2021: Honda launches updated version of its popular sedan

The second-generation Amaze, which was launched in 2018, has been updated to meet the new level of competition around the sedan car market in India. The facelift consists of several styling and interior changes. However, Honda will continue offering the new facelifted version in three key variants, E, S and VX. Except for the base version all three models will get the CVT automatic option as well.
Tesla Model Y electric SUVs spotted in Europe: Report

However, the automaker changed its plans last month and opened Model Y orders for September deliveries, but those vehicles are going to be produced at Gigafactory Shanghai in China.

Tesla pushes new Model 3 Standard Range Plus orders

According to Electrek, Tesla has updated its online configurator to push the delivery timeline for new Model 3 Standard Range Plus orders to January 2022, which was previously November 2021. However, Tesla's online configurator shows that the Model 3 Long Range still has a November 2021 delivery timeline, while the Model 3 Performance can be delivered as fast as four to seven weeks.
