Tesla confirms Cybertruck electric pickup delayed to 2022: Report

On the order page, Tesla had updated the footnotes to confirm that the configurator will be available when "production nears in 2022," Electrek reported on Saturday. The note is the same for all three variants of the Cybertruck despite Tesla previously saying that the two higher-end variants, Dual Motor and Tri-Motor, will come first. When Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck back in 2019, it had said that the electric pickup truck would make it to market by the end of 2021.
Kia becomes fastest carmaker to sell 3L vehicles in India

The brand crossed the first one lakh milestone in July 2020, the next one lakh in January 2021, and the third one lakh in August 2021. "Notably, Kia India achieved the first one lakh unit sales in one year and clocked the latter two lakhs in the same amount of time, signifying the high adoption rate of Kia cars among Indian customers," the company said in a statement.
Ola to launch electric scooters on Aug 15

The motor show scheduled between February 2-9, 2022 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida has been postponed. The organizer of the show, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, said that the exact date for the next edition of 'Auto Expo - The Motor Show' would be finalized later this year keeping in view the Covid situation.

Kia launches 1st all-electric EV sedan, starts from $40K

The EV6 is Kia's first model embedded with Hyundai Motor Group's own EV-only electric-global modular platform (E-GMP). Kia has received over 30,000 preorders for the EV6 in the domestic market, and a combined 8,800 preorders in Europe and the United States, the company said. Hybrid cars more vulnerable to chip shortage than conventional ones

The results, published in the journal Environmental Science & Technology, showed that self-charging hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles have twice the raw material cost risks, which equates to an increase of $1 billion for a fleet of a million sedans and SUVs, compared to conventional models.The largest contributors to the increase in cost risks were battery-related elements.
