Kia Introduces K4 Compact Sedan in US Prior to Market Debut

According to reports from the Yonhap news agency, Kia will manufacture the K4 compact at its facility in Mexico and will distribute it to consumers in the United States and Canada in the latter half of the year. The spokesperson for the company specified this information.

Kia, the second-largest car manufacturer in South Korea based on sales, announced on Thursday the debut of its K4 compact sedan at the New York auto show. This unveiling marks the company's intention to introduce the vehicle into North American markets within the current year.

According to reports from the Yonhap news agency, Kia will manufacture the K4 compact at its facility in Mexico and will distribute it to consumers in the United States and Canada in the latter half of the year. The spokesperson for the company specified this information.

The upcoming model will come in two variations, featuring either a 2.0-liter gasoline engine or a 1.6-liter gasoline turbocharged engine, as stated.

The spokesperson clarified that the K4 will not be imported to Korea.

Moreover, Kia has announced plans to showcase numerous models at the motor show, including the K4, EV6, and EV9 electric vehicles, as well as the Telluride SUV. This event is scheduled to run from March 29 to April 7.
