These new launches are part of the German luxury carmaker's strategy to launch eight new models in India, following recent launches such as the EQS 450 SUV, the Maybach SL 680, and the all-electric G-Class.

Shipments for the AMG GT 63 are due to start by the end of this year, while the Pro version should find their way to customers late next year.

Under the Hood: Power and Performance
The AMG GT 63 has a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque. Coupled with a 9-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission and 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, the monster is going from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.2 seconds and will top out at 315 km/h—beating the outgoing AMG GT-R, which used to be the fastest production AMG in India.

The Pro model has the same engine setup but takes things to another level in terms of performance. With an output of 612 bhp and 850 Nm of torque, the AMG GT 63 Pro accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and reaches a marginally higher top speed of 317 km/h. The model is tuned for racing-spec dynamics, with improved aerodynamics for greater cooling and stability, ceramic composite brakes, larger alloy wheels, and special paint colors.

Refined Exterior and Dimensions
From a visual perspective, the new AMG GT 63 has a more aggressive stance than the old one. It's perceptibly bigger, with the length, width, and height being bumped up by 182 mm, 45 mm, and 66 mm, respectively. The wheelbase has been extended by 70 mm, lending itself to improved cabin room and road presence. Aerodynamic enhancements comprise an active rear spoiler and optional aero package for even higher downforce and efficiency at higher speeds.

The new coupe is offered in a host of vibrant paint finishes including Sun Yellow Solid, Spectral Blue, High Tech Silver, Selenite Grey, and Obsidian Black. Potential customers looking for an even more individualized appearance can choose from three Manufaktur colors: Patagonia Red Bright, Opalith White Bright, and Alpine Grey Solid.

Refined Interiors with Track-Infused Details
Within the cabin, the AMG GT is sporty as well as luxurious. It comes with a 12.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster and an 11.6-inch infotainment display that sits on the dashboard free. The vehicle has an AMG-specific steering wheel, a high-end Burmester sound system, and premium Nappa leather trim in several colour schemes.

The Pro trim adds further refinements, such as an aluminum center console and microfiber inserts on the steering wheel for enhanced grip when driving aggressively.
