Mercedes-Benz delivers 1,000 cars through direct selling model
The carmaker had announced this business model in June this year, and subsequently, launched it in October, post the successful beta testing. Through the model, the company seeks to directly sell cars to the end users. "With this overwhelming start to 'Retail of the Future', Mercedes-Benz reiterates the culture of competing for the best customer experience and creates a new example in the luxury retail landscape," Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and CEO Martin Schwenk said.
Daimler India targets 100% carbon neutrality by 2025
"Driving sustainability in our production and operations has been a key focus for DICV since our inception. Our efforts so far have already helped us reach 72 per cent CO2 neutrality in our plant, and we plan to push this to 100 per cent by 2025. We will work continuously towards a sustainable future for our stakeholders and society as a whole," Satyakam Arya, CEO and MD said.

Mercedes-Benz India expands EV EQC's retail footprint
The EV will now be retailed in all the Mercedes-Benz dealerships across the country under the 'Phase II' expansion strategy. The EQC launched in 2020 was until now available in six select cities across 14 locations, as part of the Phase 1 launch plan. Mercedes-Benz India has also re-opened bookings for the next batch of EQCs.
Mercedes to bid goodbye to Formula E after 2022
The announcement comes only three days after Dutch driver Nyck de Vries won the Formula E world championship title after finishing eighth in the season's final race in Berlin. Mercedes also won the teams' title after Belgium's Stoffel Vandoorne finished in third place. Mercedes follows the footsteps of Audi and BMW exiting Formula E at the end of this year.

Besides, from 2025 onwards, all newly launched vehicle architectures will be electric-only and customers will be able to choose an all-electric alternative for every model the company makes.According to Mercedes-Benz, it intends to manage this accelerated transformation while sticking to its profitability targets.

According to the company, the Mercedes - 'AMG E 53 4MATIC+' is priced at Rs 1.02 crore, while 'AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+' is priced at Rs 1.70 crore. Luxury automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has strengthened its performance based - AMG - portfolio in India by launching 'AMG E 53 4MATIC+' and 'AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+'.
Mercedes-Benz India launches seventh generation of S-Class
The new vehicle is launched in two variants - Diesel S 400d 4MATIC and Petrol S 450 4MATIC - with more than half of the 150 units of the 'CBU Launch Edition' being booked before the flagship's India debut. According to the company, the 'S 400d 4MATIC' is priced at Rs 2.17 crore and 'S 450 4MATIC' comes for Rs 2.19 crore.
