1. Ola 

Indian ridesharing company Ola, launched its first electric scooter in the month of August this year. These e-scooters are being manufactured in Tamil Nadu, and its deliveries have already begun from December 15 2021. Talking about its price, Ola S1 was priced at ₹99,999 while the Ola S1 Pro  at ₹1,29,999. Ola e-scooters received over ten lakh bookings, additionally it even got orders from the Netherlands embassy for its staff in India. It is expected that the company will ramp up production in the year 2022.

2. Ather Energy

Based in Bengaluru, Ather is another Indian electric vehicle company. Ather is expected to pose a big challenge to Ola, as it offers 2 electric scooters - Ather 450X and Ather 450 Plus in India. These electric scooters hold grip in the market due to its features and charging infrastructure. The company also expects to  make exports outside India and expand its manufacturing capacity to meet the growing demands. Ather aims to speed up its manufacturing by 4 lakh units annually.

3. Bounce Mobility

Bounce Mobility is an Indian EV startup that has launched its first electric scooter Bounce Infinity E1. The Bounce scooter is different in the league as it will be the first electric scooter with a 'battery-as-a-service' option. The scooter with battery and charger will be priced at Rs 68,999 while the scooters with battery-as-a-service would cost Rs 45,099 along with a monthly subscription starting at Rs 849 and swap charges of Rs 35 per swap.

4. Simple Energy

Another in the list is Simple Energy, a Bengluru based two-wheeler electric company that has prepared itself to compete in the EV sector with its 'Simple One' scooter. Simple Energy launched its electric scooter Simple One this year in August at around ₹1 lakh. The scooter is fitted with a 4.8kWh battery pack and its top-speed ranges from 98kmph to 105kmph depending on the tyre choice.
